Background:
Tariro is a product of two heritages combined, born in the war-torn country of the Republic of Sudan where her mother was second in command underneath her husband's brutal regime, however, before Tariro could meet her father, he was assassinated by a rival power, planning a coup to overthrow the current regime.
With her mother taking command, she tried to keep her regime strong despite the brutal assassination, however, with the rival regime closing in, she was forced to flee with Tariro to a nearby Zande warrior tribe, where not only did they provide comfort for them, but blessed their tribal magic onto a young Tariro, painted with a permanent tribal marking on her face, she could morph into a tiger shark at will. But Tariro and her mother didn't stay with the Zandes for long, for a rival tribe attacked them.
Nontle tried to aid the Zandes, but they were being massacred by the rival tribe, forcing to flee with Tariro once more. This time stowing on board a cargo ship heading towards France.
Days of sailing and the two finally ended up in the Old Port of Marseilles in France, where the two started a new life, though they had to live on the streets, where Nontle battled for money to get food for her and Tariro.
However, their bad luck streak ended when a famous name in fashion arrived, Matthieu Verene was a rebel in the fashion world, rather being traditional, he preferred underwater shoots and when he saw Tariro and Nontle, he took pity upon them and took them in, where he taught them how to swim.
Eventually Nontle and Matthieu married and raised Tariro.
However, the marriage was not long-lived. Due to two differing ideals, Nontle and Matthieu argued constantly about Tariro's future.
One wanted her to become a warrior like in the past, the other wanted her to become a fashion model for his company. Eventually the two divorced each other, with custody of Tariro being awarded to Mattheiu.
Over the years, Tariro learned the fashion world and the underwater world, but she also began to shed her past in Sudan, something her mother did not approve of, causing frequent arguments between the two.
Now at a young age of 21, Tariro's leading the way for the Underwater Modelling world, she's also one of the greatest swimmers in France. She did pick up a bit of narcissism and gullibility, but she's arguably one of the hottest models ever.
